Our Community Involvement
Donations
At the beginning of the Covid-19 world outbreak we switched part of our manufacturing to Intubation Shields for the local health system these finished products were then donated at no cost.
Our team continues to support the Ronald McDonald house charities, Toys for Tots and New Orleans Children’s Cancer Hospital with donations raised throughout the year.
Al McCloud Technical Award
1 Source Design Ltd. sponsors the "Al McCloud Technical Award". This award is earned by a local high school student who excels in the skilled trades.
It is an honour to support local students with their academic pursuits.
Working With Our Youth
We strongly believe that working with and supporting our community. Not just with donations but with investing in our youth's futures. We work with local education departments to complete the following:
- Co-Op placements from local high schools.
- Visits with our local colleges to find out what interest students.
-School presentations.
-Job Fairs.
- Part time student employment.
-Generate Interest in the Skilled Trades.
Working with the Local Municipality
We work with our local municipal officials to assist in the future growth of our community by offering on-the-job training for highly skilled positions to help ensure the local workforce will remain competitive in the years to come.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were approached by the municipality to supply health safety equipment to assist in ensuring our local healthcare workers had the tools required to keep us safe. We are proud to serve our community.
